With a combination of affiliate programs and Google Adsense on your site, you will have two consistent revenue streams that you can count on each month. Keep in month the success you have with affiliate programs is dependent upon your market, the merchants you partner with, and how you present affiliate links on your site. Also keep in mind the success you have making money with Google Adsense is dependent upon where you place ads on your site. This article will explain how Google Adsense works, how to get started
with Google Adsense, and the best way to earn money with Google Adsense.

Make Money with Adsense - How Google Adsense Works
If you're a webmaster that publishes quality information and/or articles on your website or blog then you easily qualify for the Google Adsense program. A large portion of Google's overall revenue comes from the ads you see alongside Google search results. When a visitor clicks on one of those ads, the advertiser is charged and Google makes money - how much an advertiser is charged is based upon the amount they bid for the keyword or keyword phrase, along with the relevancy of their ad and how much their competition bids for the same keyword or phrase. Google also allows advertisers to place ads on any publisher website that has joined the Google Adsense program. In this case when a visitor clicks an ad on the publisher's website, Google makes money but they share a large portion of the revenue with the publisher itself - the exact percentage of the revenue-share going to the publisher is not made public.

Make Money with Google Adsense - The Google-Publisher Partnership
To maximize the number of click-throughs a given publisher will receive, Google uses an algorithm to place the most relevant ads on an individual web or blog page. The publisher itself also plays a large part in maximizing the number of click-throughs their website or blog will generate. To help in this process, Google has provided the following heat map to guide you in selecting where to place Google Adsense on your website or blog: Where to Place Google Ads on Your Pages. You can see on this page I'm using a top position located below and to the left side of the headline. I'm also utilizing a bottom position located directly beneath the last line of this article.

Earn with Google Adsense - Get Started with a Simple Setup Process
To get started simply go to Google Adsense and login with your existing Google account information(i.e. perhaps you have Gmail) or create a new Google account. Once you're logged into Google Adsense, click on the Adsense Setup tab and choose "Adsense for Content". Choose "Ad unit" and you will then be presented with a few formatting options for the ads that will show up on your website or blog. You can then setup a channel to track the ads that will show up in a given location on your site. Then you assign a "unit name" to the ads. Then you copy and paste the code provided by Google into your website or blog. It's that easy to start making money with Google Adsense. Google provides plenty of help and tips for optimizing how much you earn with Adsense.  Take time to review that information as you progress with building additional content for your website or blog.
