Internet Business Philosophies - My 10 Business Cornerstones
There are many different internet business philosophies in use on the web today. Every online entrepreneur should put together a list of business cornerstones that define the structure of their internet business model and the way in which online business will be conducted. In this article I outline the 10 business cornerstones that represent my internet business philosophy. Each business cornerstone impacts how I design, market, and manage my websites.
Internet Business
Philosophies and Cornerstones
1) No inventory. First and foremost I don't
want to deal with inventory, packaging, shipping, or receiving. I want my business to be 100% online and electronic.
2) No phone calls. I want to communicate only via email, forums, and social bookmarks. I have tried taking phone calls in the past and found it to be unproductive and inefficient.
3) Create projects around topics that interest me. Take everything I'm interested in and weave it into my internet business.
4) No recruiting or downlines. I'm not interested in multi-level marketing. I want to promote real products and services, not a business opportunity.
5) Provide honest information. Don't lie for the sake of earning a commission. Don't trick visitors into buying an item.
6) Keep it simple, keep it efficient, keep it fun. I'm all about simplicity and why run your own business unless you're going to have fun doing it?
7) Always have a plan of attack and revisit or review it frequently. Set daily, weekly, and monthly progress goals.
8) Make progress on a daily basis. Don't spin my wheels. Don't get information overload. Move the business forward every day.
9) Set a work schedule and stick to it. This has been my biggest hurdle and is something I need to commit to doing. It's easy to get on the computer outside of your set work hours. I don't recommend doing it. Stay within your work hours and get enough sleep so you have a productive work day.
10) Take one day completely off per week and take a vacation or weekend getaway once in a while. Don't get burned out. Give yourself a break. You'll come back recharged on your next work day.
