Affiliate Marketing Webmaster: Learn About the Site's Owner

Hello my name is Jim Polak and I'm the Make Money Affiliate Marketing webmster. This site is designed to educate people on how I run my internet business. Too many people get online and start promoting internet business or internet marketing tools right out of the gate. Others get caught up in promoting get-rich-quick schemes. I've been down both paths and I can tell you there is a lot of mis-information and greed on the internet. With everybody piling on top of each other in the internet marketing arena and with internet scams littering the search engines, it's very difficult to find the right information on how to
start and run a legitimate online business. That's why I want to do it the right way and tell
you about the tools and techniques that are working for me while also covering methods that haven't worked out so well or that I have found to be non-productive. This site is where I get to show you how I started and am growing my home-based affiliate marketing business. Some articles cover general topics while other articles get down-right detailed.

I've been working full-time from home since June of 2004. To this point my online income has been up and down. My goal is to build a steady upward trend to my internet income and I feel I'm now at the point where I'm going to start achieving that. My first 3 years in business I wrote and sold my own ebook, built 2 large content-based websites, got involved with a business model that started off looking very promising but ended up along the lines of a get-rich-quick scheme, had 2 serious forays into Google Adwords marketing, ran 2 weekly newsletters, and spent countless hours and days learning about running profitable websites with plenty of trial and error on my part. In the summer of 2007 I decided to start completely over with a clean slate and get into areas that interest me and that I'm knowledgeable about. Everything I did my first 3 years in business were gone, that is except for my experience and knowledge. I revisited my previous methods of market research, website design, and affiliate marketing. I built the infra-structure of my new projects. My new projects are now launching and this site will reflect my design and marketing techniques as I move forward.

This site will cover many different internet marketing and home-based business topics including: the design and marketing tools I use, web design tips, affiliate marketing techniques, website monetization methods, traffic generation strategy, home-based business tips, what it's like working from home, and my general affiliate marketing philosophy about keeping it honest and staying away from the vast sea of mis-information about not only internet marketing but really any topic in general.
